The time stamp on the video corresponds to the end of the exposure of the frame. To get the time of the event, the difference between the system time and the time obtained from GPS was added and half of the frame duration was subtracted, that is, the time of the event was tied to the middle of the frame duration. The difference between the system time and the GPS time was determined with an accuracy of 2-4 ms. with 1PPS light flashes recorded on video. Wherein, the time difference was determined from those frames where the onset of the flash occurred at the beginning of the frame exposure. Such measurements were taken before and after occultation. The difference in system time and GPS time in the moment of occultation was calculated from these measurements. The duration of the coverage was measured between the approximate middle of the fall and rise of the signal fronts from the star.
Так что наблюдать можно на пределе технических возможностей.Да ещё нужно попасть в полосу покрытия шириной 20 метров.
В США наблюдали покрытие 300-метровым Апофисом.
