I want to congratulate Charles W. Juels and Paulo R. Holvorcem on their recent
discovery of C/2005 N1, which is then the first amateur discovery of this year.

The instrument seems to be a 7-cm f/2.8 lens with CCD! This should encourage
everyone to start own survey close to the sun with small instruments.

I am sure that a comet Lovejoy is only a question of time.

Комета была открыта с помощью штатного объектива!

I would suggest that this is a typical camera lens hooked up to a CCD.
The Canon 200mm F/2.8 camera lens has a front lens diameter of 72mm
which for the IAU discovery report form is 0.07-m refractor. Great
discovery though no matter what they used as a refractor.
